Build a project management/analytics hub
Hi! I'm toastergrl, creator of the "Sonic Mania - Green Hill Zone" ideas project. The road to 10,000 is difficult and fraught with missteps sometimes, and it's not always clear what helps and what doesn't. I'd like to suggest an "analytics hub" (not accessible to the public, just to the project's creator) to allow users of the LEGO Ideas platform to track the progress of their project.
For example, a graph of supporters-per-day would help those who had to take a few days away from their project to catch up on schoolwork or their job. Other potential features could include guesses as to where supporters arrive from day-by-day (Did a person with a checkmark share your post? Maybe someone made a video about it? How about a news article?), and the conversion ratio between visitors (with or without accounts) to Supporters, plus tracking new comment notifications on your project's page without having them mixed in with the rest of your site-wide notifications.
I personally don't want to know the country-of-origin or gender ratios of my supporters, since those characteristics are not very relevant to me and the collection of that info strikes me as uncomfortable - but I hope you will agree the rest of the attributes I have suggested would help people manage their campaigns.
This feature is probably a bit above the target age range for the site in general, but you probably have lots of evidence by now that there's a sizeable AFOL userbase, at least on the project creator side.
