Provide More Visibility to Projects Stuck at 1-5k
I think most of us have seen it happen. A project is popular for a week or two. Then new projects come in and the first project quickly becomes buried, never to be seen again. It’s not that the project can’t gather support, it’s just that no one can even find the project to promote it.
This hidden zone also hinders unlicensed projects more than licensed projects. While licensed projects can find fan clubs around their license, unlicensed projects don’t always have the liberty to find large groups of people already organized around their project theme
I’m not sure what the best solution is and I’m completely open to any ideas.
One idea is to have sorting options to view projects between 0-1k, 1-2k, 2-3k, 3-4k, 4-5k, etc. Then users who would like to help out can find stuck projects to support. These projects may not draw as many supporters as projects on the front page but it wouldn’t be a complete halt in support like the black hole they experience now. The only downside is that the search options list would become longer.

Totally agreed! This is an excellent idea. Especially since searching for ideas can be so erratic

Totally agree! After a couple of weeks it become so hard to have some exposure on the website

Great idea! Perhaps the solution could be by having an "Editor's top Picks Between 1K-5K" in the weekly newsletter. Or perhaps it could be shared on LEGO Idea's social media platforms once a week like staff picks?
Another random idea: perhaps on the product ideas there could be an optional button for fans to "promote" the project. If it reaches 100 "promotions" from fans, then it gets promoted by LEGO Ideas via Newsletter or Social Media. This way fans could have their voices heard and help LEGO Ideas with the choosing.
Just some thoughts :)
