  1. Simultanious contest entries

I have had trouble with entering contests because I made multiple entries, and photographed them all in the same shoot to avoid setting up the sheets and cameras too many times. I went to enter them when there were about 10 days left and realized that there was no way that I could submit all of them doing it one at a time with 2 days between, and any rejections. I would guess that I am not the only one who has experienced such issues of possibility and convenience and propose that Ideas should allow one user to have multiple…

  2. Let people delete excess updates

I recently made an update that got duplicated, but I just needed one. I want to delete it, along with those that accidentally messed up on the updates...

  3. Allow Star Ratings in statistics to be viewed over a specific period of time

Hi! I'm Viv, AKA toastergrl, creator of the "Sonic Mania - Green Hill Zone" LEGO Ideas project. I previously suggested a statistics page to see how Product Ideas have been reacted to over time, which I'm very thankful the team has implemented.

Recently, the Ideas team also added private star ratings, to allow feedback to be provided privately. This is an excellent idea, but I'm currently working on a major revision for my Product Idea which might make some of the previous ratings irrelevant.

Would it be possible to look at your Star Ratings over a specific period of time?…

  4. Require a piece count

Make it a requirement when post new projects that an approximate piece count be added to the listing so when someone supports the project and is asked to say how much they would pay, we have a better idea of what the cost of a set would be based on the number of pieces

  5. Lego Comic as a format for a contest

Every Lego magazine has some fun comics.... what about tapping into the creativeness of the community and let them have a go at making a comic (page(s))... with the prize that the comic gets published in a Lego magazine

  6. Other than themes, introduce categories by number of supporters

Hi guys, the new themes categories seems a good idea. Maybe you might consider to have categories by number of supporters as well (500club, 1kclub, 3kclub, 5kclub). Projects gets a lot of supporters in the first 2/3 weeks, with the top5 under 100 supporters and with the staff's pick. Especially if they go in the trending page. After that the numbers of supporters decrease drastically. It could be a good idea to get more visibility to "older" projects. Now seems that either you reach 10k in few weeks or maybe never.
I hope it will be a good feedback

  7. Create 3 categories by ages and piece count

The first criteria for most AFOLs (=the voters) is the esthetic of the designs. In general, complex and detailed designs get much more votes then the small sets. But the LEGO board of designers refuses most of these big sets because they are too complex and they need to aim a market for ages much smaler than the 16+.

Lego missed many sets that could have been very interesting for their development because of this contradiction.

To help these smaller sets, I suggest the creation of a classification by piece count and ages, in the same way it already exists…

  8. Add Lego emojis

It would be very cool, if when you're typing out a comment or a description, or even THIS right here, if you add could add a emoji to show how you feel. But why stop there? I think Lego emojis would just be strait up awesome. A Lego emoji would be like a normal emoji, but with a Lego head. If you like this idea, then please vote on it.

  9. Hide The Number Of Supporters For Projects (Or At Least An Option To Hide The Number Of Project Supporters)

This may sound weird to some people, but I think there should be an option to hide how many people support your projects. I believe people would choose to support more solely based on a project's merit or creative value instead of how many others are supporting it.

  10. Add a description bar

It would be cool if on the box that has the main photo of your idea, and how many supports it has, there were the first 3 or 4 lines of your description. This would help if your main photo wasn't that great.

  12. Giving users/future product idea submitters a summary or an idea of which LEGO elements has, hasn't, or is close to being discontinued

Hello, I think that users have a right to know which LEGO elements/parts have, have not been, or soon to be discontinued. Users shouldn't have to go through the time and trouble of designing and submitting a project that contains discontinued elements that they were unaware of. I have a LEGO Ideas project that I haven't submitted yet but was originally designed only for LEGO Power Functions(LPF 1.0) elements and not LEGO Powered Up(LPF 2.0) elements. I don't know if LEGO Powered Up is replacing the old Power Function elements or if they intend to keep producing the old power…

  13. App, that allows people to build sets collaboratively (e.g. build the mustang with 5 others)

Prototype completed, principle can be demonstrated

    German reference:

    https://www.promobricks.de/soziales-bauen-lego-interview-dominik-brachmanski

What this does: A webapp, that uses real time data, the connection between clients and the structure of the build to assign tasks/buildsteps to everyone in a group according to documented progress.

    Features:
    - Looks and handles like regular instructions, navigating through steps is used as input to record progress and make work assignment decisions.
    - It utilizes the logical location of subassemblies in build plans to parallelize branches of the assembly and optimize group capacity usage. This ensures everyone gets a task until the set is finished/as long as there…

  14. Not only one Idea on the first page

I think it would be good if not only an idea or ideas appear first on the Lego Ideas page but the succession changes.

  16. "my favorite vote" option

Every member can attribute his "favorite vote" to only one project (but not his own)

Some members vote for many many projects, but there is no distinction as to what project they really prefer.

This "favorite vote" can be taken back and re-attributed at any time.

The "support" button would simply change into "my favorite",
the overview of supported projects is already available.
A popup message would show up if already gave your favorite vote to another project "this action will remove your favorite vote from another project. Do you wish to apply it here anyway?"

    To go even further,…

  17. Enable comments on project updates

Currently, making updates is a bit of a one-way void.

The designer doesn’t really have any idea if they are improving or harming their chances of getting support.

Enabling comments on updates would provide many benefits for all users (including LEGO Group). It would:

    1. Engage supporters in the design process
    2. Provide immediate feedback to the designer
    3. Encourage the designer to continually improve the model
    4. Give LEGO much more insight into the viability of a project

  19. It's an Honor just to be Mentioned...

After the closing of the recent two contests, an idea occured to me of how awesome would it be if there was a "Judge's Honorable Mentions" list to go along with the winners. With so many creative entries, I know that they're were probably many that stood out to the judges and it was a hard decision to just pick three. Having a list of entry links for the Judge's Honorable Mentions in the Winner's Announcement blog would allow the judges to shine a spotlight on more entries that did impressed them in one way or another. I feel that…

  20. I would love to see a way to view old blog posts easier than it is now.

It is really hard to find older blog posts now and I would like that to change.
