When a new member wants to support an idea and presses the "support" button he then needs to sign up or use he's google / facebook account. Once he's logged in most of them think that they have voted and just leave. They don't even see that a support button is still active since they were redirected to a main page.
Conclusion: please count the votes from members who signed up for the first time after pressing a "support" button on a certain idea without a need to press it again (new members just don't get it)6 votes
This makes a lot of sense and can come across as a confusing experience. We are investigating this further.
After the latest update it shows "top" results instead of "most recent". New submissions will not be noticed by many with this setting as a default unless you have many followers.76 votes
Everyone that has achieved support deserve the merit of achieving that milestone, however, there is a category for achieved support when viewing product ideas. For this reason I think it would be more suitable to show a randomised set of Ideas on the homepage that are still showcasing their work to gain support rather than showing the ideas that are already there. Maybe they could be moved to a side column?5 votes
