Send a notification when someone you followed has a new Product Idea approved.
It would be nice to get a notification when someone you follow posts a new product idea. Right now I don't see the point of following anybody. If I want to see if brickybrick has submitted a new idea, I have to scroll to the very bottom of my follower list to find his profile, or look through hundreds of recently submitted ideas. This notification would change that by instantly letting you know that "Brickybrick has submitted a new idea: Modular Skyscraper! Click to view."

Hide achieved support on the home page
Everyone that has achieved support deserve the merit of achieving that milestone, however, there is a category for achieved support when viewing product ideas. For this reason I think it would be more suitable to show a randomised set of Ideas on the homepage that are still showcasing their work to gain support rather than showing the ideas that are already there. Maybe they could be moved to a side column?
5 votesWe currently manually de-prioritise projects in the feed that have reached 10,000 supporters. In the future, we’ll look into automating this as part of the feed’s algorithm.

Link to Your YouTube Channel in Profile
Many fans on LEGO Ideas have a YouTube channel... why not have the ability for them to have a YouTube link in their LEGO Ideas Profile? This linking is already available for a personal website and/or social media (like Facebook) in the Profile section... but there is no YouTube link.
A simple suggestion, but I believe it could greatly benefit the fan community.

Show me if I've supported it already
From anywhere you can see the blue number of supporters circle, allow to support, and show if you're already supporting it. Click the button to support, and it should be white with blue outline (like it is on the idea page) if you're already supporting. Or some other indicator that you already supported it.

make any updates automatically become the project
When a project is originally made, it might not be the best design possible. That is why there are updates. The problem, when you are surfing through projects, is that you don't see that they are updated. You see the original image, and not the updated and better version of it. This makes me feel like updates are kind of useless, since nobody looking at the main project picture will be able to see the update, which might have been the deciding factor for the viewer.

Make it easier to edit the profile
I have tried editing my profile and customizing my avatar on LEGO Ideas, however your site is NOT letting me do so. I have tried looking on your FAQ's and other sites but in summation: all the information is WORTHLESS.
So can you please make it easier to customize my LEGO Ideas avatar or tell me what I'm doing wrong and tell me how to customize it28 votes -
Please mark Blog posts with posting dates.
I can't see any clear way of knowing how long a post has been up since it doesn't indicate when the post was made.

Mention system with "@" symbol
Would be great to be able to mention someone with @nickname in comments. Then the one who were mentioned could see it in "notifications" tab and follow that link to read it.

Add ability to update your IDEA images and content after approval.
Rather than use the UPDATES tab which people often overlook.

Build a project management/analytics hub
Hi! I'm toastergrl, creator of the "Sonic Mania - Green Hill Zone" ideas project. The road to 10,000 is difficult and fraught with missteps sometimes, and it's not always clear what helps and what doesn't. I'd like to suggest an "analytics hub" (not accessible to the public, just to the project's creator) to allow users of the LEGO Ideas platform to track the progress of their project.
For example, a graph of supporters-per-day would help those who had to take a few days away from their project to catch up on schoolwork or their job. Other potential features could include…

Allow LEGO Ideas users to delete their own expired product ideas
I’d like to have an option to easily delete LEGO Ideas projects that have already expired. The only current way to delete them is to report the expired project commenting that you want to have it deleted.

Revise your Restricted IP as a narrow list
Currently, the article with Restricted Intellectual Properties is somewhat difficult for people to find what intellectual properties does not allow. Is there any chance you could revise the Restricted IP's as a long and narrow list?

Grand Prize and Runner-Up Winner Badge
With former LEGO Rebrick being incorporated into LEGO Ideas, building contests have become a big part of the site and an exciting addition to the already awesome product submissions. I suggest that 2 new badges be added to the lineup to more seamlessly blend the 2 distinct functionalities of the site. The "Grand Prize Winner" badge and the "Runner-Up" badge.

Please include "Most Supported" in the new drop down menu.
I really like the new drop down navigation. However, please include a "Most Supported" link below the "Trending" link in the menu. Most of the top projects that are in need of crucial votes to reach 10,000 are not necessarily trending at the moment, and are now a little harder to find with this recent update.

Have more than models for the contests.
Some people aren't as great as others at building models. It's only fair that everyone can win a contest, and some people have different skills. Lego Ideas should add different types of contests, like making videos, songs, or posters. I still want to keep the model contests, but have different ones alongside them. I know you might say that if you want to win, you should practice to get more experienced, but that could take years to get good enough to win, and that's not the point. The point is that people with different skills can win too.
5 votesWe’re constantly thinking of different types of contests beyond just LEGO building and have recently introduced several that are not about brick building such as those related to Toy Photography or ideas for voice control.

Allow us to access all the current project ideas.
In the drop down menu, we can choose a lot of filters, but we can never see all of the current ideas posted. I would appreciate if there was a show all button available.

More regular Staff's Picks
I notice that recently the Staff's Pick have not been announced regularly. I think it was a great way to discover past projects and gave a great boost to those projects, hundreds of supporters.
I hope it will return to be a daily selection.1 voteDue to resource constraints we had to de-prioritise Staff Picks for a period of time. We’re back to full-capacity and have again been selecting Staff Picks on a regular basis.
