I'm not going to say anything after this, but, remember, they won because the judges thought that they were best. Think about it this way: How would you feel if they DID say that yours was the best entry, and you kept getting better and better at making amazing creations, and following the judging guideline, and won again and again. How would you feel if they sent you an e-mail saying "You won! Sorry though, we won't give you the prize that you worked so hard for. Instead, we will give you a badge. That's all. You wanted the prize, but we are instead going to give you a virtual object that does nothing for you except exist and give the massive prize that we truly believe that you deserve to the next best contestant. Cheer!" I don't think that I would continue to enter contests if I had won four times and that was the case. Personally, the badges don't mean much to me. I feel like the badges are just flashy and pretty much pointless. (That is just my opinion. I don't know how other people feel.) I don't have any ill will for you, and I'm sorry that you haven't won a contest yet. I know exactly how you feel. Also, the point you made is that they valued the winning entries more than yours because you didn't have the software or know-how to make your presentation as stunning. I understand that fully too. I don't have those things either. Maybe a better way to address the problem that you seem to have expressed would be to propose that they have the judging based on the actual creations instead of the entries. Again, I don't have any ill will for you. I appreciate that you are trying to bring about change, but I feel that you may be trying to change it in the wrong way.

(Also, just a pointer, the LEGO IDEAS guidelines say not to use all caps. I totally understand why you want to use them. I use them a lot on other platforms.)

If they have the best creation, It is only fair that they win. I have not won any. I'm from the same position as you, but how would you feel if the judges thought that your model was the best one in the contest, but all you got was a badge. If someone is good enough to win 5 contests, they should get the 5 prizes.

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't agree. Many people don't have the opportunity to build with the full array of available LEGO bricks, or even many at all. I don't think that discriminating based on that would be fair at all. I LOVE building with physical bricks, especially the constraints that it adds, but when you are trying to build a specific thing for a contest entry, it is a lot harder. Anyone with access to LEGO Ideas could for free get a digital design software. When making a physical entry, you need to have enough of the right LEGO bricks, which can be very pricy, as weel as at least a decent camera, which is also not cheap. Virtual designs allow anyone to enter with any number of bricks for free.

Not allowing new contest entries while one is being verified makes it so that the process of uploading entries takes a lot longer, and sometimes make it impossible to enter all of your designs before the end of the submission phase.
