By default, the home page sorts ideas by most popular. This is not clear what it really means, it looks like a miscellaneus between vote per day, message per day, or view per day.
This system is not clear because there are some ideas, that are in the homepage for days even if they get 1 vote or 1 comment per day, before of ideas getting 50/100 vote and comments.
Moreover this system will put many ideas in a sort of limbo, as at some point, they wil be no more the newest, not yet the most supported, not the most popular (whatever it means), so even if they may be good ideas, they may be hard to find.
I think that by defoult the home page should sort the ideas randomly at every refresh, and then users can also choose to sort by most popular, most supported and so on.
Anyway the "most popular" system should be improved, showing the ideas starting by the one that obtained more supporters the day before, just this, not other criteria that can be hacked too easily.
That would be fair, because one idea can get more supporters than another, or because it is better, or because the builder is working harder to advertise it
