  1. Other than themes, introduce categories by number of supporters

Hi guys, the new themes categories seems a good idea. Maybe you might consider to have categories by number of supporters as well (500club, 1kclub, 3kclub, 5kclub). Projects gets a lot of supporters in the first 2/3 weeks, with the top5 under 100 supporters and with the staff's pick. Especially if they go in the trending page. After that the numbers of supporters decrease drastically. It could be a good idea to get more visibility to "older" projects. Now seems that either you reach 10k in few weeks or maybe never.
I hope it will be a good feedback

  2. Please add an achievement badge for "Approved Ideas"

I think this is the biggest achievement on LEGO Ideas. It would be nice to see a badge for it among the achievement badges in a user's profile. Some of the designers I follow have achieved this, but since their approved set has been around for so long, it's already buried at the bottom of their profile.

  4. Prevent liking your own comments (and thus remove "fake" Socializer Badges)

Well, since my proposal struck some chords in the comments of the last Updates blog (https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/d443ce19-6160-425a-abce-45f7999740a1?comment_uuid=e97fa46d-4583-4c72-a0c1-aa586c6933ba ), I'll post it here too:

With this introduction of new Badges, I propose a small measure without much pretension, that could bring a little salubrity in the comments, if it's not too complex to implement:
prevent voting for your own comments, and if possible retroactively remove all the "self-likes" that could have led some Socializer Badges to be misallocated.

I think that could lead some people to refrain from commenting, or at least encourage them to do so only for good and…

  5. Add Lego emojis

It would be very cool, if when you're typing out a comment or a description, or even THIS right here, if you add could add a emoji to show how you feel. But why stop there? I think Lego emojis would just be strait up awesome. A Lego emoji would be like a normal emoji, but with a Lego head. If you like this idea, then please vote on it.

  6. A support button on each submission on the scroll screen

Sometimes I see something I know I want to support just from the first photo. At the moment I have to go into the project to get to the support button. I think it would help projects get support faster if you could hit a support button on the scroll screen. This may lead to a higher turnover in popular ratings as well. Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion.

  7. Highlight those who have achieved 1000 votes, not just 10000

In the project comments tab, comment writers who have achieved 10000 votes are highlighted. However, achieving support is as much about selecting the right subject for the model and marketing it as it is about building a great model. The best model of an obscure item rarely achieves more than 1000 votes.
Therefore, highlight also those who have achieved 1000 votes because they have useful experience similar to those who have achieved 10000 votes. Use a different colour to differentiate the two but give more recognition to the experience of 1000-vote achievers.

  8. Please allow resubmitting after contests are over

I worked for 20 hours on an animation for the Galaxy Of Celebrations contest. In the description, a single o in someone’s name was not capitalized, and they denied my submission. Since I had work to do, I was up very late perfecting the stop motion. I submitted it and then went to sleep. I wake up and suddenly the post has been denied and there is no way that I could resubmit because it was past the deadline of the contest. I don’t know a lot about working at LEGO ideas and what you can do but couldn’t you…

  10. Create 3 categories by ages and piece count

The first criteria for most AFOLs (=the voters) is the esthetic of the designs. In general, complex and detailed designs get much more votes then the small sets. But the LEGO board of designers refuses most of these big sets because they are too complex and they need to aim a market for ages much smaler than the 16+.

Lego missed many sets that could have been very interesting for their development because of this contradiction.

To help these smaller sets, I suggest the creation of a classification by piece count and ages, in the same way it already exists…

  11. Separate Product Ideas from Contest Entries in profile page.

Often I enter in other builders' profiles to check their builds. Would be great to have Product Ideas right away on top, not mixed with contest entries and activities. The filter doesn't help much in that way.
Otherwise you could let the builder to personalize his own page.

  12. Contest format idea -> Video / brickfilm

In the past Rebrick hosted some great brickfilm contests. Maybe Lego Ideas could also host such a contest in the future.

  13. An idea to change the order of projects on the homepage every week. To give every project a fair chance.

My suggestion is to change the order of the projects on the homepage every week. Randomly. Perhaps it is fair to do this with the ideas that have obtained 100 supporters. Those that are on top get so many votes within a very short time. I think that they will now also reach 10K within weeks. If you would change it weekly or within two weeks ... maybe it helps to decrease the amount of 10K projects in a short time.

I also get the impression that only projects that have been built digitally get the most votes. Other projects…

  14. Collaborations

On Lego ideas, you should be able to collaborate on an idea together, basically, with permission from both designers, you put two ideas into one.

  15. Make an RSS feed for the Ideas blog

  16. The Promoter Badge

The Promoter Badge would be awarded to members every time they support 100 product ideas.

This new award would encourage more members to support more product ideas, thus giving them a larger chance to reach 10,000 supporters before they expire.

  17. Make it where you can see what notifications are “new” and “old” again

Recently LEGO seems to have taken off the “new” and “old” notifications. This used to really helpful because I could see new notifications without having to remember what the old ones were. Now I can’t figure out which notifications are new and which notifications are old, which means I might miss a notification and not notice it ‘till days later.

  19. Different banners on users profiles - (like the 10k club one)

It would be great if there were more profile banners which you got at the top of your users profiles like the “10k club” banner.

A “fan designer” and “5k club” one would be fantastic!

I love to see the 10k club banners but a few more would be great. It’s also lovely for the users to get.

  20. Pick one of your Project images as your banner

Could be a cover image or an additional image. (Update images not allowed). These would already be approved during the submition of a project so you would not have to worry about people misusing this feature.
